As a wedding photographer in Colorado Springs, it was such a treat to shoot this beautiful, fall wedding at The Broadmoor. The Broadmoor is a beloved landmark to locals and such a special part of the Springs. While they have many ceremony site options, the Mountain Clubhouse was the perfect setting to host Jess and Mike’s intimate celebration. The bride and groom got ready first at the hotel and had their First Look on the hotel grounds. We were able to take some lovely couples portraits with the classic background of the Broadmoor and Cheyenne Mountain behind us. The early October weather did not disappoint! It could not have been better weather on this warm autumn day. The colorful leaves made for a wonderful backdrop.

The Perfect Setting for an Intimate Celebration in Colorado

Next, we headed up to the Mountain Clubhouse for their ceremony and reception. The secluded mountain setting (with amazing city views too) made the party feel even more intimate. This whole day felt so peaceful and was filled with the kindest people. It was the kind of day that makes me so thankful to be a Colorado wedding photographer! Mountains, sunshine, panoramic views, and a good time with good people. The day went so smoothly thanks to the careful planning of Flourish Event Co.

The Beauty of a Smaller Guest List from a Colorado Springs Wedding Photographer

The more I photograph weddings, the more I see how many benefits there are to having a smaller celebration. Our photography timeline felt relaxed and really added to the peaceful feeling of the day. The bride and groom were able to spend meaningful, quality time with their guests. They were truly present throughout the whole day. On a practical note, it also lends itself to being able to spend your budget on what truly matters to you (like making it a memorable experience for you and your guests!).
