Caitlin and Douglas held their November wedding at Kinship Landing, a boutique hotel in the heart of downtown Colorado Springs. From getting ready in one of their beautiful suites to the ceremony under the plants in the Greenhaus and the most magical candle-lit dinner, this space was perfect for their intimate celebration and their vision coming to life.
I may be biased because as a Colorado Springs wedding photographer, I frequently meet my couples at Homa Cafe in Kinship Landing for wedding planning (so you know I am already a big fan of this place!). The delicious food, welcoming atmosphere, and thoughtful design make it a lovely place to spend time.
Bonus points for being a pet-friendly hotel so that their dog Gwennie was able to be a part of getting ready time and the ceremony! There were so many fun details in this wedding, starting with the necklace the bride wore. It belonged to her great-grandmother and has been worn by all the women in her family at their weddings!
The First Look at Garden of the Gods
The couple did their First Look at Garden of the Gods, which is only a short drive away (less than 15 minutes) for easily accessible mountain views for their wedding portraits.
Ceremony in the Greenhaus
Now, let’s get married in the Greenhaus! The floral arrangements combined with the greenery already overhead was absolutely stunning. Other details I loved here was their cookbook guest book and Wishing Stone ceremony, where each guest received a stone while being seated to then wish the couple well!
Lastly, the evening ended with a lively cocktail hour at the bar and a candle-lit dinner in the Greenhaus. The soft candle light and live music made it an absolute dream place to gather friends and family and celebrate.
