A behind-the-scenes glimpse into the stories behind the pictures with Bespoken Photography ā with some tips and ideas along the way!
Garden of the Gods is a popular elopement spot in Colorado Springs for good reason. It has beautiful mountain views, interesting rock formations, and there is no permit required. Yep, it is first-come, first-serve and no cost! There are definitely some benefits to hiring a local Colorado Springs photographer who knows the Garden well. As a Colorado photographer who frequents (and brings all her out-of-town visitors) to this park, I can help you think through the best spot for the Colorado Springs elopement you want!
Vic and Sam came from out-of-town planning an intimate Colorado elopement. We planned a sunrise elopement to keep their ceremony more private as the Garden can be a very busy place. What we did not plan on was having high intensity mountain winds that morning! We originally staked out our spot at High Point Overlook and had the entire place to ourselves (a rare occurrence). Due to the high winds though, we had to last minute pivot to another spot where thankfully the winds were much less! These two were champs throughout the whole morning and embraced the unexpected Colorado weather. They have a great story to tell now of what turned into an adventurous Colorado Springs elopement!
